Advancing students For advancing student outfits we offer a choice of new handmade imported instruments with high specifications. These provide a reasonably priced alternative to an antique instrument for students. These outfits are made by hand in small workshops. High quality materials are used, including selected tonewoods. Each violin & viola is personally selected, fitted with Dominant or Zyex strings on the violin outfit & viola outfit and set up to a high standard by Anthony Nickolds in the workshop. The outfits include bow and dart shaped case. These improved instruments benefit from: Dominant or Helicore strings, pegs working properly, shooting the fingerboard (Planing) to correct camber, refined bridge fit and correct bridge height, top nut modification for correct string action and height, refit and position of the soundpost.
